Questions
Why isn't the app free?
A single peak I-66 toll runs $12–$40. If the app helps you skip even one a year, it's already paid for itself many times over. One-time purchase — no subscription, no ads, no tracking.
Where does the data come from?
Live prices come from the Virginia DOT's public toll feed — the same one the I-66 Express signs use. Historical curves are built from 90+ days of rolling observations.
Does it work on I-495 or I-395?
Not yet. TollCast is focused on I-66 inside the Beltway. If I-495 or I-395 support is on your wishlist, email me — if enough people ask, it goes on the roadmap.
Is there an Android version?
Not at launch. Android feature parity is possible but it's a second codebase. Use the Android waitlist link above — if there's real demand, I'll build it.
Who built this?
A DC-area I-66 commuter tired of paying surge prices. TollCast started as a personal tool and grew from there.
